Yours to carry. Theirs to inherit.
Heirloom Warranty
Every FocusWorks tool is machined and assembled in small batches in our workshop in British Columbia, Canada. We build them to outlast the person who buys them, and our warranty is written the same way. It covers the tool for the life of the tool, not the life of the owner. Gift it, sell it to another collector, or hand it down, and the coverage goes with it.
What's Covered
- Lifetime warranty on every product. Every FocusWorks flashlight, pen, boxcutter, fidget and piece of gear is covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for as long as the tool exists.
- Flashlight electronics: 5 years. The machined body of every FocusWorks flashlight carries the lifetime warranty. The electronic components are covered for 5 years.
- Engraved items are covered too. Engraving makes a tool final sale, but the lifetime warranty still applies.
- The warranty is transferable. It follows the tool, not the receipt holder.
What's Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear. Scratches, scuffs and the marks of daily carry are part of a tool's story.
- Damage from disassembly, modding or misuse. Opening up, modifying, or using a tool for something it wasn't built for (a pen as a pry bar, for example) is not covered.
- Balance on spinning products. Every spinner and spinning top is checked for balance before it leaves the workshop. How a spin feels depends a lot on the hand doing the spinning, so balance isn't something we can warranty.
A note on copper, brass and bronze: these metals develop a natural patina over time. See our Product Care guide for how to keep the shine or let the character build.
Broke It Yourself? Talk to Us.
Accidents happen. If your tool is damaged in a way the warranty doesn't cover, get in touch. At our discretion, we'll repair it for the cost of parts plus shipping.
The 15-Day No-Regret Promise
Tactile feel is personal. If the weight or balance isn't right for you, you have 15 days after delivery to request a return. Items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in their original packaging. Contact us before sending anything back. Returns that arrive without a request can't be accepted.
Refund or store credit, your choice:
- Refund: a 6% restocking fee applies, plus the original shipping cost and return shipping.
- Store credit: we waive the 6% restocking fee. Original and return shipping still apply.
Final sale items: exotic materials (such as Damascus, Timascus, Mokuti, Zircuti, Mokume and Tungsten), custom engraved or personalized items, batteries, and sale items.
How to Make a Claim
- Email support@focusworksedc.com with your name, the tool, and a description of the problem. Photos help.
- We'll review it and let you know next steps. Some issues can be solved without sending the tool back.
- If we need the tool, we'll send you return instructions. Repairs or replacements begin once it arrives at our workshop in Sechelt, BC.
